Tonight, join the diplomats from Slovenia at their magnificent
embassy for a unique embassy event like never before.
Through the live Slovenian entertainment, bar, diplomats, and
other cultural aspects of the evening, we’ll take in the rich customs of the
Slovenian people. Savor the hospitality of this beautiful embassy as we enjoy a
special evening on Slovenian soil.
The evening begins with a diplomatic greeting followed by a
presentation of Slovenian culture. You will enjoy an exclusive live
musical performance by visiting native Slovenian Musicians.
FEATURING:
1) LIVE MUSICAL PERFORMANCE FROM A NATIVE SLOVENIAN
PERFORMER
In town for one night only, we will be treated to a special performance by
Slovenian musician Igor Lumpert Shorter!
Our featured performer is one of the leading Slovenian musicians
in the world! Igor performed at jazz festivals in Ljubljana, Belgrade,
Novi Sad, Csfero, at major jazz clubs around the
world including the Jazz Standard, Birdland, Cornelia Street Cafe, Supper Club,
Porgy and Bess, Unterfahrt, with such jazz legends as
Reggie Workman, John Abercrombie, Chico Hamilton. In 2011 Igor was commissioned
to create a piece for the closure of the European Capital of Culture.
2) DIPLOMATIC GREETING:
Hear from the Slovenian diplomats, who will be on hand to answer
any questions you may have.
3) SLOVENIAN WINE:
Enjoy wine native Slovenian wine – some of which is not readily
available in the U.S.
4) SLOVENIAN FOOD:
Taste a unique buffet of a variety of native Slovenian
food.

Embassy.
